Bio - How It All Started

A visually impaired, self-taught singer and songwriter, musician and producer. AJ has always had a keen interest in music growing up in and around London surrounded by eclectic influences from his two worlds, one with his South Asian roots, and the other growing up surrounded by western Pop, RnB and Hip Hop

AJ first came to the music scene whilst at University in the summer of 2017 after doing covers on YouTube and various open-mic nights and gigs, in which he was approached by Disney for the lead role of 'Aladdin' (2019) in the new Hollywood remake and was shortlisted to the final few choices. AJ also then worked with BBC and ITV that same summer and in 2018 for various music projects.

AJ’s sound is the perfect blend of Acoustic, Pop and RnB, which is demonstrated in his debut single which released in 2018 ‘On My Own’, with musical influences from Michael Jackson, Ed Sheeran, Craig David, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Bruno Mars, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, to name a few, with Ed Sheeran being the most influential when he heard Ed perform ‘Thinking Out Loud’. After which he picked up an acoustic guitar and taught himself to play from this one song, embarking on his career in music that you see today.

With the release of his recent single 'Temporary Love', AJ is now fully focused on getting more music out on a regular basis! Stay tuned, lots of things to come from AJ!
